Business Card

This image is of the business card that Gayle designed for Patti prior to their marriage.

Golden Seas

This is a colored pencil copy after the oil painting "Golden Seas" by Charles Vickery. This is one of my favorite pieces.

Three Children

This drawing was commissioned as a gift for the children's grandmother.

Sarah and Maggie Rhodes

These two drawings were done as a gift from me and my parents to the parents of the girls. The girls are Sarah and Maggie.

Mr. Hudson

I had several old photographs to choose from when I was planning this drawing. I wanted to do a close up of the face, but I also wanted to do the full figure of the soldier. I combined the two in the end and was pleased with the result.

Colored Pencil Drawings

I haven't done many finished works in colored pencil, because it takes so long to do them. But here are a couple that I did some years ago.

Gayle Walls, Jr.

This is a portrait of my wonderful husband, Gayle Walls, Jr. The original was drawn as a Christmas present for Gayle's mother.

Norton Grandson

This portrait is of the grandson of a lady with whom I work. It was my first paid commission and I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Elois King Speck

Several years after doing the portrait of my grandfather, I did a portrait of my grandmother to hang beside it.

Cecil H. Speck

Here is the first portrait I finished and framed. It is of my grandfather, Cecil H. Speck, and was drawn as a Christmas gift for my grandmother. Some years later, I did a matching portrait of my grandmother, Elois K. Speck.

Greetings and Felicitations!

Greetings!

This is the first post on my new blog. I do fine portraits in graphite and colored pencil, and also do decorative painting and jewelry design. I hope soon to start doing my portraits in watercolor and oil. I hope I can create something very special to showcase my work.
